Hello, I'm Zach! I graduated cum laude (3.5 GPA) from Trinity University ('21) with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in History. My personal tutoring philosophy has always centered on student learning. I do not believe that learning happens when a student is disengaged or uninterested in what they're learning. I reject mockery and belittlement as tools for encouraging student learning; rather, I believe openness, patience, and inclusion are important when it comes to correcting student error. For my writing students, writing must be forged through hard work, dialogue, and revision. Clear, concise, and effective communication in the written word cannot be achieved otherwise. For my political science students, diversity in viewpoints is encouraged and any and all views are welcome, so long as they can be defended and backed up by tangible evidence. While I have my views, I will strive to be neutral in my sessions and encourage the expansion of viewpoints (rather than seek to alter them).
