A Dallas native, I graduated from The Hockaday School and attended Rice University on an honor scholarship. I transferred to The University of Texas at Dallas to pursue a degree in theatre. I am a National Endowment for the Arts/Annenberg and Eugene O'Neill National Fellow in theatre criticism and award-winning author with a long, diverse history of teaching, coaching and tutoring all subjects verbal: mechanics, grammar, critical analysis, creative writing, literature and drama, public speaking, college application essays and SAT/ACT prep. I I have a deep passion and genuine talent for helping students improve test scores and developing their communication skills for school, university and life. In California I taught grade school classes through high school and college and created and managed a successful youth summer leadership/creativity program. As a stage director/ performer I mounted and acted in plays and musicals and coached performers for major auditions and business people in public speaking. I am a Verbal Specialist in ACT/SAT prep and have worked for a wide range of tutoring services and programs over many years. I love inspiring young people to develop their skills and talents. I work with a positive, focused, compassionate approach.
