About Stephan

I tutor elementary reading, writing, and math. I make it fun to learn as I show how learning opens doors to opportunities to view, experience, and understand the wonders of our world. I question and listen to provide students the opportunity to shine as they show what they've learned since the previous lesson.

I'm an experienced elementary teacher. I taught and mentored students in and out of the classroom for 15 years. I teach English and reading using a phonics-based phrasing approach to decode words. I also taught English as a Second Language to immigrant adults. I have extensive experience with basic business math which is the same as the fifth-grade math I taught.

I've been a story writer for the last 10 years. I use stories as part of the online marketing documents I create for business clients. I had a 20-year career working in and managing businesses.

I have a bachelor's degree in Recreation-Youth Leadership from Brigham Young University, an Elementary Teaching Credential from Chapman University, and an MBA in International Marketing from National University. I continue my education, taking classes in copywriting, marketing online, and psychology and much more.
