During my final year at Green Mountain College I work for the school’s Learning Center as a peer tutor. This position involved working with professors to help students understand scientific concepts in courses such as biology, chemistry and math. While I was officially a tutor in biology, my worked very often included tutoring students in developing their reading and writing skills. From my first day a tutor I loved it. Aiding in students’ understanding of difficult subjects is precisely the type of work I enjoy.
Before ultimately enrolling in a graduate program, I intend to continue my teaching experience through applied work, the type of work I do at HeyTutor.
