I have a Bachelor's degree in Education specifically as an Intervention Specialist (Mild to Moderate). I did my student teaching at a middle school in a resource room for Reading, English, and Math. I then co-taught for a year at a high school as an Intervention Specialist in History, Biology, and Math.
I prefer one-on-one tutoring and enjoy engaging my students with fun and imaginative math problems. I like to apply math to real world situations to allow my students to fully understand the relevance and necessity of knowing and using math in their everyday lives.
I, myself, struggled with reading as a kid and went through numerous tutors before finding the one that fit my learning style. This has been a major motivation for me and helping other students who struggle like I did and just learn best from different teaching styles. I adjust my teaching style for each student based on their struggles and needs.
I have a passion for working with kids and love seeing that 'ah-ha' moment when they understand and comprehend something new. My experience as a student and teacher has led me to pursuing a career tutoring students one-on-one and helping them succeed and exceed their education goals.
