I have my Bachelor's degree from Northwestern University, and my Master's degree from the University of Maryland. Since graduating with my advanced degree, I have been tutoring students in the areas of Standardized Test Prep, English, History, Grammar, Writing and the Liberal Arts for over 10 years. My approach to teaching is inquisitive and encourages critical thinking, which engages the student in the subject at hand. In this way, students feel empowered to not only do well on a specific assignment or test, but also gain critical thinking skills that they can take with them into the classroom, additional study groups, and independently as they complete other homework assignments outside of the tutoring session.
