I have almost 2 decades of experience in teaching and tutoring in a variety of subjects. Music is my primary subject for tutoring, which includes instrumental private lessons, help with music theory, composition, and music history. I am current with music technology trends.
Because of the part-time nature of the music business, I have also had work experience in the business world. I have had countless hours of training and utilization in Microsoft Office platforms. I am most proficient with MS Word, although I also use Excel. I am adept at proof-reading material before publication. I have an analytical mind and when problem-solving is needed, am the person to whom my colleagues refer. I am able to figure out most computer related technical issues.
I am able to tutor Spanish students within their first two years of study. I have had 8 years of schooling in the language, and am familiar with many dialects. I have had a couple of trips to Mexico, and at one point had a Castilian instructor.
I am a positive, upbeat instructor who will figure out another way to show you something if it doesn't "click" the first time. There are many different styles of learning, and it is my job to find what works best for you.
