Throughout high school, I served as a teaching assistant for Biology, Spanish, and Psychology. Then, in college I tutored adults in English as a Second Language (predominantly Spanish-speakers) for two years, before studying abroad in Argentina and becoming totally fluent in Spanish. Growing up, I always thought I would be a teacher because I love to help others and have a passion for learning. I have been somewhat of a tutor since I was quite young, having a younger sister and cousins whom I assisted with homework. During my four years as an undergraduate, I often took on a mentor-tutor role for many of the younger women in my sorority, residence halls, or classes. Now, working virtually, as a College Advisor for high school students across country, I teach students and their parents about the admissions process. I pride myself on being an empathetic and respectful teacher, who is genuinely excited to spread knowledge! :) I'm currently in the process of applying to doctoral programs in Human Development and Education, with a focus on low-income and first-generation college students. This is in hopes that I can conduct research which will increase the accessibility of higher education and teach at the university-level. I am a Gemini, ENFP-A/T (Campaigner according to Myers-Briggs), and a chocolate lover. Truthfully, I love all food & drink - especially sweets. I have two reptiles: a bearded dragon, Denzel, and a leopard gecko, Lola, whom are my pride and joy. One final fun fact- I met my now-husband while I was studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina!
