Hey! I'm Chris. I graduated from Penn State in 2017 with my bachelor's degree in meteorology and atmospheric sciences. For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in two things: math and weather. Fortunately for me, the field of meteorology is the perfect combination of my two passions! It is not all about somebody standing in front of a green screen on television!
During college, I organized a tutoring service for students in meteorology and atmospheric science. After graduating, I worked two separate math tutoring jobs: one at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, and one at Lehigh Valley Academy Junior/Senior High School in Bethlehem. At the end of last school year, I was lucky enough to be offered a full-time teaching position at Lehigh Valley Academy! I have been teaching 9th grade algebra 2 and 10th grade geometry for the past year and I absolutely love it! My favorite part of my job is watching my students' "aha!" moments; when everything starts to come together to make sense for them. Math can be quite confusing and abstract, so when I can help a student understand something, I find that very rewarding.
Not everybody has to love math, but everybody deserves a teacher who does! I look forward to working with you and your student. Thank you!
