Hello! My name is Amanda and I'm currently working on my PhD in computational biology at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. I have taken numerous math and science courses both at the graduate and undergraduate level covering topics including genomics, machine learning, discrete math, and statistics. I use the R programming language and advanced statistical concepts in my own computational genomics research every day, so I know I have the skills and knowledge to help you succeed!
Outside of my academic proficiency, I have logged hundreds of hours tutoring students in statistics, R programming, machine learning, math and science, writing, and even music lessons for saxophone, piano, flute, and violin. I've helped students with tasks ranging from homework help to test prep to coauthoring papers for scientific publications. Don't let you schoolwork stress you out - contact me today for help!

I highly recommend hiring Amanda if you need help with R. I was a complete newcomer to programming languages in general and she was extremely helpful in helping me understand R's syntax and functions. She took the time to explain why we used the functions we used, and when they would be appropriate. She is a friendly and a natural teacher. Thank you Amanda!
Outstanding experience from start to finish. My only regret is I didn't reach out sooner in my semester. I very much hope to continue to work with Amanda.
