BIOGRAPHY

Rebecca has been tutoring and teaching students with varying abilities (including Honors/AP and learning disabled), and of all ages—K-12 through college and PhD levels—for over 9 years. Her degrees include a BA in English and an MFA in creative writing, including extensive research of pedagogical theories, methods, and strategies. She has a strong history of working with students to improve and develop their English language and reading skills at public and private schools and as a private tutor. Her tutoring specialty is essay writing.

An expert at quickly assessing the skill level of each student during one-on-one sessions, Rebecca takes care to provide a top-notch personalized approach that harnesses the individual's unique strengths and goals so they can begin to unlock their potential for success. Two big areas of focus include guiding the student to understand that writing is a process and developing a system that engages the student's interests.
