Hello Parents,
I would like to take time to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Tamara (Tamira) Hudson. I am excited to be part of Hey Tutor. Throughout my years of experience, I have worked with children ages 2 months to 21 years of age in both mainstream and Special Education. I have been in a management position in three different Early Childhood Educational Centers. It is my goal to make sure your child(ren) feel comfortable, happy, safe and enjoying their selves. I have high standards and expectations for the service I provide to students. I am committed to both the student and their families.
My Supervisory/Management positions allowed me to develop professionalism and structure. I am very patient and friendly. I practice high levels of ethics and confidentiality. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and Educational Management. I strive off of education and how there are various levels to apply it in and out of the classroom. I have a large background in Mental Health both personal and professional. I was a Family-Based Therapist, Behavior Specialist Consultant and worked as a Team Leader (Manager) at a Residential Treatment Facility for children/adolescents. I taught and advocated for my child who has been diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder and obtains and IEP. My theory is that all children are unique in their own way and it is up to the educator to assist each child in embracing their personality. I like to focus on the whole child by providing opportunities, through social, emotional and cognitive development. I also strive to build on structure, creativity, problem solving, manipulatives, motor skills and sensory play. My overall goal for the is to promote confidence, model positive behavior, stimulate the mind of the students and most of all HAVE FUN while doing it!!!!!
Sincerely,
Tamara Hudson M.Ed.
