I have extensive experience teaching in both India and the United States, which makes me dedicated to the equal opportunities of diverse populations in order to better their qualities of life through higher learning. I believe that all students can access self-improvement. My teaching experience in face to face classes and in remote classes gives me the ability to turn this belief into flexible strategies to foster success and confidence in any learner at every level. I am highly qualified to teach a full range of college level classes, along with pre-college and lower division Mathematics courses. I have my Masters in Mathematics with more than 60 additional graduate hours in Math, teaching practices, and assessment.
Twenty One years of teaching experience make me an expert in Math and give me the ability to introduce success in Math to any and all students who lack confidence in their skills. I currently teach Math at Portland Community College. I have taught Algebra 1 and several different versions of remedial math using a computer skill-based program (Carnegie Learning). I taught Algebra II and Geometry at Gresham High School and Algebra and Geometry at Portland Public Schools. I also taught over twelve years in high schools ranging from eighth to twelfth grades in India. My extensive experience gives me the expertise to provide students with age-appropriate learning in a supportive environment.
