My name is Mr. Jared Hubicsak and I am in my seventh year teaching high school mathematics. I love working with kids and seeing the growth in each individual. Every kid has the opportunity at success, although some have to work harder than others. I have tutored many of my own students outside of normal school hours at Austintown Fitch High School where I work, where I will stay before or after school in a 1 on 1 or small group setting to help provided additional instruction to help them achieve mastery in mathematics.

Tutoring is a very rewarding experience since you have more time to determine student's weaknesses so that you can focus in on areas of growth. Tutoring also provides opportunity for a variety of methods of instruction (index cards, interactive apps on your phone/internet, different solving method, etc.) so that students can find what works best for them. I love getting to know my student's outside hobbies and incorporating those areas of interest into the current content being taught.

I am an outstanding Math tutor because I have successfully taught a variety of classes at the high school level (Algebra, Geometry, Math Lab, Statistics/Probability) and have worked with multiple levels of ability (Gifted, College Prep, IEP, Basic) in mathematics class. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree through the University of Mount Union and am certified to teach grades 7-12 in the state of Ohio. I also completed my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction as I value different approaches to solving problems accurately. I know my content well by my high GPA (3.9 in college, Straight A's in high school, 35 in Math Portion of ACT) and by successfully taking double digit classes in mathematics at Mount Union. I work well with students as I have been a camp counselor/director for 10 summers in a row for kids entering 1st-7th grades.
