Hello!
I appreciate you taking the time to visit my profile. My name is Amy, I am a native New Yorker who grew up in the suburbs of Westchester County (Mamaroneck/Larchmont). I am proud first- gen that has Bachelor's in Education and a Master's in Spanish language & literature from St. John's University. I am fluent in Spanish and I know a little bit of French. I have worked with the NYC department of Ed teaching 8th grade Spanish. I used to work as a Student Mentor and ESL teacher for the Adult Education Department at the New York Public Library in the Bronx and Manhattan. I also am a College Academic/ Career Success specialist; I have experience working with college students applying to college with college essays and filling out FAFSA forms, applying for jobs/internships, helping students with academics and preparing them for career success by teaching them how to network, write resume's and cover letters. I am very passionate about making sure a student is successful.
I am available most of the time, but I need to know in advance before we schedule something to have a more fixed schedule.
Thank you,
Amy
