I have more than thirty years experience as a secondary classroom teacher in the subjects of French, History, Social Studies and English-as-a-Second-Language. Having worked with teenagers my entire professional career, I know what obstacles confront today's students and have hundreds of techniques and scaffolds at my fingertips to overcome them. I can also help high achieving students deepen their knowledge and/or skills so they can get ahead. In addition, I have first hand experience in a variety of programs including the International Baccalaureate (MYP and Diploma), New York Regents Exams and Common Core. Finally, I am particularly skillful at helping students with essay writing and research projects.
