Teaching has been my passion: I've been tutoring students especially in chemistry and math since high school. I tutor regent chemistry, Math Regents to high school students. Because I get agitated when I'm confused about the learning materials, I like to break down complicated topics into simpler, more fun, applicable and relatable concepts. Going through many many years of education, I am very much familiar with a lot of standardized exams (SHSATs, SATs, ACTs, GREs, subject tests) and have helped a lot of students prepare these exams.
I double majored and received my BS in Biology and Chemistry from St. Joseph's College. After getting the popularity vote and passing the interview process, I was selected for a Valedictorian for class of 2011.
During summer of 2010, I did an internship at MIT for the neuroscience research. I was an undergraduate research fellow in a neuroscience lab at Columbia University Medical Center.
After graduation from St. Joseph's College, I continued my education in advanced study in science: I received a Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience at UPenn. I am now a software developer and data engineer.
I tutor students in all ages. I had tutored an ADHD 10-year-old child to help with his homework for a year. I tutored an eight-grader to improve his critical thinking skill for approaching and solving Math problems. I also tutor younger kids who are taking NYC gifted and intelligent exam.
At St. Joseph's College, I worked as a lab assitant in Biology Deptartment for three years. I also worked in the academic center where I tutored students in chemistry, biology, physical science, and calculus. Besides, I was a Teacher Assistant in Biology Department. I had taught a General biology lab session.
