I am a freelance writer and former music teacher and administrator with two grown sons (one a teacher and the other a model!). I have worked with students of every age, not just as a teacher, but also as a coach and volunteer.
In addition to more than 20 years of experience as a teacher and community educator, I've also been a hands-on administrator in large public school districts as well as Director of Community Education at an exceptionally successful Community Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I am a big advocate of lifelong learning and I truly enjoy engaging with kids through tutoring.
I've also planned and implemented innovative after school programs that supported literacy skills, increased program attendance, and motivated staff, students, and parents from diverse backgrounds. My teaching style is friendly, fun, and fair.
As the Executive Director of Cole’s Foundation, a nonprofit based in Michigan committed to helping families dealing with pediatric cancer, I was privileged to meet and help kids globally. For the past seven years, I have had the opportunity to work as a full-time writer for clients from all over the world.
Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy meeting students from wherever they are in their education journey and playing a small part in helping them achieve their academic and life goals.
