I have a bachelors degree in Political Science and American Government with a minor in Religious Studies from McDaniel College (09). My Senior Thesis in Political Science examined the evolution of the religious right in the US Republican Party. I also wrote a senior paper in Religion comparing the philosophical theology of Moses Maimonides and Thomas Aquinas. I have a master of divinity degree and a master of sacred theology (with distinction) from Lutheran Theological Seminary-Philadelphia. My STM research focused on Reformation History, sacramental theology and ecclesiology.. Currently I am a PhD candidate in Historical Studies at the Lutheran School of Theology-Chicago. My doctoral studies have focused on eucharist and ethics, the intersection between liturgy and ecclesiology with the hope of developing a contemporary ecumenical ecclesial framework that responds to contemporary justice issues in our time. I recently moved back East and have gotten permission to complete my dissertation remotely. I have two semesters of experience teaching introductory courses in historical and sacramental theology. I have also given lectures at Valparaiso University and Augsburg University.
