I have a Bachelor's and Master's in Applied Mathematics with application in Economics from Harvard University. I also have over eight years of tutoring experience and have worked with children of all ages, college students, and even adults to achieve their academic and personal goals. I specialize in college counseling and standardized test preparation, but I also teach Mathematics, Physics, Economics, and English. I believe in helping my students help themselves and would rather provide intuition and support through problem-solving rather than giving the student the answer directly. I highly value critical thinking and analysis on the part of my student and appreciate mutual efforts to succeed. Ultimately, my teaching philosophy is best characterized in the words of Thomas Carruthers: “A teacher is one who makes himself progressively unnecessary.”
