I earned a Neuroscience PhD at University of Wisconsin-Madison, then completed two years of postdoctoral research at Florida State University. During this time, I have realized how much I enjoy helping others to learn. During graduate school, I was a Teaching Assistant for a writing-intensive biology lab course. It was satisfying to help each student hone their writing and critical thinking skills. As a postdoctoral researcher, I was responsible for training other people in the lab, including an honors student writing her thesis. I enjoyed helping these people gain the skills to succeed. My areas of expertise are neuroscience, psychology, science writing, research methods, statistics, and the statistics program SPSS. I would describe myself as approachable and patient. Please feel free to contact me if you think that I would be able to help you learn!
