I live in the Chicago suburbs. I tutor mostly in three areas: math (algebra, trig, calculus, statistics), science (chemistry, physics), and standardized tests (ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, USMLE). Sometimes I tutor writing and public speaking. I have three graduate degrees including a PhD from Johns Hopkins. I'm calm and funny and put people at ease with subjects they have anxiety about. He provided notes to my son which seems like it could be a helpful reference. He is responsive and seems overall friendly. But he did make an elitist comment to my son which I do not appreciate. We hired a tutor for help and support, not to criticize my son's math abilities.
