I have been offering private tutoring and essay and writing services since 2011 while in undergrad. I previously worked as as a Special Education Teacher in Clayton County, GA teaching 8th grade. I have experience teaching and tutoring in the areas of Math, English (Reading and Writing), Test Prep, and Psychology. I have a Master's Degree in Child and Developmental Psychology. I have experience working with dynamic personalities and individuals, so I am able to work with individuals with any temperament and adjust to their levels of need. I also have experience tutoring students with learning differences, such as ADD, ADHD, and Specific Learning Disabilities.
In a world of standardization and traditional/in-the-box approaches, I bring a unique and effective approach to learning and tutoring. I have a background that has equipped me to work with students and individuals with complex needs and various learning styles. Every child is different, so it is important to tailor a child's learning to his/her strengths and needs. I utilize a strength-based approach with my students and do my best to create an environment and tutor-student relationship that cultivate learning. I have witnessed ALL of my students make significant improvements in school, and I love seeing their grades and their confidence improve with each session.
