Although most of my jobs have revolved around the science and environmental field, I love nothing more then working with kids and young adults to help them reach their full potential. Being a good role model and educator to the kids I work with, is very important to me. I have always felt that education is the key to success. I personally worked 60 hours a week while attending college full time, to pay for my education as I went. This helped me understand the true meaning of hard work and what you are capable of if you put your mind to it. I use this same lesson on a day to day basis when it comes to helping others. I'm a great listener and always do my best to help others achieve their goals and be their best self. Kids are our future and I would love nothing more then to help them be the best version of themselves and enjoy learning. I have helped tutor my friends kids in the past along with fellow high school and college students . What I have learned is that the best way to help them succeed is to help them actually enjoy learning the subject they are having trouble in. Once a child is able to see that they are able to do something they never could before, it builds so much confidence. This then leads to them wanting to learn and actually enjoy learning. For some children this may be the first time they ever had fun with a book in front of them. I strive when faced with a challenge and always make sure I am helping those who depend on me. As a child and an adult I have always had one goal in life and that is to make a difference. Being a teacher is something I have always wanted to do but I just havent had the funds to go back to school for the few extra classes I need. So instead I have help found the Eco Preservation project. With this non profit we go into schools for free and teach children how important it is to learn and help save our environment, so that the out doors we love will be around for future generations. This has been one of the most awarding things I have ever done bc the only other people who teach our kids at their schools for free is mosaic. Math, science and writing are my loves in life and I would love nothing more then to help a child enjoy learning as much as I do.
