I have a B.A. degree in English from Case Western Reserve University with minors in math and speech. With over twenty years experience in full time teaching, substituting and tutoring students of all ages, my diverse background lends itself to a very unique experience to the student that utilizes me as a tutor. My specialty as an English teacher was creative writing which I continue to practice in many forms. While teaching full time, I was a speech and drama coach and have had much success in preparing students for oral presentations, both at school and in community settings. I have a very comfortable knowledge of basic math and Algebra I and II. In my role as a substitute teacher, I frequently work with autistic and special education students. I have a special affinity for these students, finding much joy in their accomplishments. I feel that I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with my students, having lived in England for several years and traveled the continent extensively. My goal is to help you succeed in your coursework, whether it be conveying good study habits, help with homework or a test, or improving you delivery through projection and self confidence.
