I have spent my whole life helping people.
As a teacher, I have helped children, youth and adults improve their writing, reading and math skills so that they can pass my class, do better in their own class or pass a standardized test such as the GED, FCAT etc. Yes, I have taught for the often dreaded GED test! This experience allowed me to guide students to successfully passing the test. Sssh! Don't tell anybody that I told you but the secret to success is Never Give Up!
I have over six years of professional experience combined with a degree in English and pursuit of a Master's Degree in ESE with an emphasis on reading. My professional experience includes teaching remedial students K-12, teaching GED courses and of course being a classroom teacher.
I am experienced in helping students to set, to meet and to exceed their personal goals. I have taught individuals how to use computers, seek employment, improve their life skills, read, write, and improve their grammar and math etc. If you want to know how to learn, I am the teacher for you. I firmly believe that a good teacher is a facilitator of knowledge and teaches you how to identify your strengths and weaknesses. My goal is to teach you how to use your strengths and support/decrease your weaknesses. I am skilled in learning strategies, and I am capable of teaching you how to incorporate these strategies into your learning style. If you don't know your learning style, I can assist you with identifying it.
