I studied Chinese Mandarin for 18 months through the immersive program at the Defense Language Institute, where I developed fluency and the ability to use Chinese Mandarin in my professional working environment over the next three years. As an English speaker, I will provide a unique perspective on how to learn Mandarin as a second language and support the student through all the trials and tribulations of learning this language. I can tutor people of all ages, having experience working with children and tutoring other students while at the Institute.
