I have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education and am a certified 6th through 12th grade English teacher in the state of Colorado. I have experience teaching both middle and high school and am well versed in the state standards of Missouri and Colorado in addition to Common Core. I take a goal-setting approach to teaching and empower students to take ownership over their own learning. This means that in addition to helping students understand reading and writing concepts, I also teach them about the process of learning so they can take strategies they gain from tutoring and apply them to any subject in the future.
