Karyn Ingrid Estela earned her B.A. with a Major in Studio Art, Minors in Piano Pedagogy and Music Education, along with a Teaching certificate in Art Education K-12 from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado and International Baccalaureate Teacher Training, Visual Arts Diploma Level 1, California Association of IB World Schools, Lake Tahoe, CA. She has won awards for her entries in on-line art competitions for her acrylic paintings.
Karyn is a teacher, mentor and facilitator for students grades K-12 and adults. She has taught the disciplines of art, theatre, piano, general music, competitive speech, English as a second language and classical horsemanship. Ingrid designs her curriculum based on experiential learning so that students develop their self-confidence and endeavor to find ways that transform the altered state of consciousness of their creative minds into reality. Ingrid’s students discover tools of communication during their studies of impression, perception and action. These tools serve students as strategies that lead them to successful results with a variety of communication styles so students understand the uniqueness of being an individual as well as the culture of a community.
