Hi there, I’m Tayanna! I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with two degrees: a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Television Production and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language. With my two degrees, I love to aid beginning-intermediate Spanish speakers with their speaking/listening/reading/writing abilities as well as budding artists & filmmakers with any interest in storytelling!
My love for learning and passion for helping others has also translated to over 10 years of formal academic tutoring experience, in which I have primarily aided students with reading comprehension, writing, English, math (pre-algebra through calculus), and SAT/ACT test prep. In each tutoring session, I begin by assessing a student’s needs, goals, and timeline, so we can develop a customized plan and approach together that will be strategically tailored to their strengths. This plan remains flexible and is continually updated to ensure that sessions are as effective as possible. I am committed to not only being a resource for students, but also being a teammate, and giving them the skills, support, and encouragement that they need to achieve their goals and become confident, successful learners!
I am very quick to respond to all messages and inquiries, so please feel free to contact me with questions or to schedule a lesson. I look forward to working with you!

Furthermore, as an AfterMath tutor, I worked weekly with K-12 students on everything from Elementary Math to Trigonometry and also trained new tutors on how to properly conduct effective and engaging tutoring.
- Moreover, my background in competitive public speaking & experience at international oratorical competitions also lends itself to helping those who want to gain more confidence in giving presentations and having a presence when speaking publicly!
