I have over ten years of experience teaching and tutoring at the high school and college levels. I received my bachelor's degree in Physics from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and my master's degree in Physics from the University of Utah.
Subjects I have taught include the following: Physics (Classical Mechanics, Optics, Electromagnetism, Harmonics and Wave Motion, Special Relativity, and Quantum Mechanics) and Math (Algebra [I, II, and College], Geometry, Trigonometry, and PreCalculus).
I strive to build confidence and proficiency in my students when teaching these sometimes daunting subjects. My philosophy is to teach concepts and explain fundamental principles rather than simply showing how to solve a particular problem, giving my students the skills to solve problems beyond those covered in the course material.
