I am 29 years young, live in Oceanside CA, from Santa Cruz CA. I studied Physics at University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC), graduated with Honors with a Bachelors of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. I am currently a Graduate Student pursuing a Master's of Science in Physics at San Diego State University (SDSU), about half-way through my program. I am also currently employed at SDSU as a Graduate T.A., having taught five courses since August of 2019.
I have worked as a private tutor for about 12 years now, beginning during my senior year in high school. Additionally, I have about three years experience working for a professional tutoring agency. Duties included but were not limited to: regularly scheduled academic tutoring, SAT Prep, SAT Subject prep, ACT test prep, AP exam prep, and college entrance exam prep. I also worked as a specialty tutor for young students with learning differences.
Mathematics and Physics are inexorably tied together. I was also a mathematics minor. Most of all, however, I have extensive experience tutoring students over the entire duration of their courses in a range of subjects including: Basic Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (all levels), Differential Equations (Diff Eq's), Partial Differential Equations, Multivariable (3D calculus, separation of variables, general and particular solutions, gradients, etc).
Graduate Student in Physics, 4.0 GPA. I have taught physics courses, laboratory courses, and tutored students over the entirety of their physics courses (beginning to end midterms and finals, AP Exams, SAT Physics Subject, College Placement). I have extensive experience writing lesson plans in physics; organization of material to be learned, in a sensible order. Can tutor and discuss any level of physics from Intro Physics (college or High School) through to more complex graduate level physics (Electrodynamical theory, Thermodynamics, classical mechanics, computational physics, etc). Feel free to contact me, send a copy of whatever problems you are working through. I am always happy to discuss physics.
Please feel free to contact me anytime through the heytutor messaging service, I am responsive. I am ALWAYS more than happy to discuss any physics or mathematics problems you may be having, and would love to have a conversation about meeting times, availability, and especially academic needs prior to the start of any official tutoring.
