I have a degree in Business Administration from Chapman University. My subject of expertise would be in mathematics (algebra, Basic math, geometry, trig, pre-cal, and calculus). I have experience tutoring students with special needs or learning disabilities. I tutor to each student on a personal level based on his or her strengths/weaknesses. Every student is unique and learns in their own way. My job is to figure out how each student learns best and accommodate this into my teaching methods. For the parent/guardian, I usually give a brief summary after each session regarding what subjects and lessons were covered. I am always willing to write a more detailed summary via email or text. A typical summary may include how the session went, the student's strengths, what improvements are needed, and what the parent or guardian might be able to do to further assist the student. Sometimes I'll leave the student with a supplement or some practice problems to help the student retain the lesson further. I have received several grateful remarks from families that I've helped in the past. I try to make the sessions fun, entertaining, individualized, and memorable.
