I pursued my undergraduate degree at Arizona State University, I had specialized in European History. I have taken four courses in European History during my time at ASU; I took a course on Modern Germany, Europe After 1945, WWII in Comparative Perspective between Nazi Germany and Japan, and Total War, Crisis and Modernity. I have also taken a course in Western Civilization and a World History class. I got interested in history while I was in my 9th grade World History class. I noticed myself being called on a lot more then most of my classmates and the instructor was making eye contact with me the most while he was speaking to the class and explaining the material being covered. I have kept most of the history books that I believe are a source of good quality information that I can understand and teach to those who would be interested in having me as their tutor. I will be using these books as well as the internet to create a learning environment that is not only verbal, but also visual. I understand that when it comes to education there is a diverse amount of students with specific learning instructional needs. I myself have a learning disability. I consider myself an academic success with all the educational challenges I had to face. I hope to start working with students so I can make them an academic success as well.
I also have a Master's in Homeland Security; I am seeking a career in federal law enforcement (at the moment) and I would like to use this down time while waiting on processing of my applications to tutor. My parents had always said to consider teaching because I have a great deal of patience.
I hope to speak to you soon!
