I taught 22 years for LAUSD, ten years in a middle school and 12 years in a high school. I taught Honors, Regular, ESL, and Photography in Middle School, and AP and Honors in High School. My pass rate was exceptional, beating the national average by 25% for 12 years. The reason my students did so well was because I teach skills rather than simply the subject matter. Notetaking skills, study skills, test taking skills, etc. I have now been retired for nearly two years and still have most of my school materials. I can be a great asset for diligent students who want to succeed academically.
