I have worked as a tutor non-remotely at local community colleges - where I have also led SI classes as an assistant to the professors - and with students independently.
I consider myself a 'people person', meaning that I always place the person ahead of the material. That is, whatever your preference is on how you would like for me to help with your comprehension of the material will be the method in which I tutor (e.g. more practical applications, an in-depth look at formatting or sentence structure, overview of the concepts in question, etc.).
