I have my Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, and an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, and Early Intervention. I have been working as Behavioral Interventionist at school and home settings with a large number of students with Autism, Learning Disabilities, ADD, ADHD, Emotional Disabilities...since 2008.
I am experienced in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Relationship Development Intervention (RDI), and Floor Time (DIR). However, I always enjoy discovering the uniqueness of each of my students, adapting and accomodating their education when needed, based on their individual needs, abilities, and interests.
After I immigrated to the US in 1998, I have also always enjoyed my side job which was working with bilingual students whose families spoke Farsi at home. So I designed a fun and interactive curriculum to teach Farsi to this group of students. I held many Farsi classes and tutored in Los Angeles, New York, and NewJersey. I strongly believe we need to support the emotional and cognitive development of our bilingual children by helping them become balanced bilinguals. In other words, they should be able to build a strong bridge between English and the language they hear at home.
Currently, I work as a Behavior Therapist at schools and will be happy to help your child in any aspects of my expertise during my free time!
