Tutoring for programs such as ABC Boosters, 826LA, and the United Church of Rogers Park in Chicago--all of which help underserved K-12 students in areas such as reading, writing, and math--has given me experience working with students who may learn in a similar capacity as I did: visually. I enjoy demonstrating concepts for learners who need examples; I hope to show these students that they can channel creativity and visual learning in a productive way.
I love writing fiction on my own time, and I majored in English at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Therefore, I have a lot of experience with grammar, literature, and essay structure and would love to help students of all ages in these areas.
For math, I have experience tutoring Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and K-12 math at the United Church of Rogers Park After School Program.
