Hi,
My name is Jimmie Joyner, I am a graduate of Southern University of Baton Rouge. My degree in Arts and Humanities has prepared me to interact with children of all grade levels. My intensive studies included the natural growth and development of children 3-17
I have 15 units in Child Development. The 15 units include extensive studies in the areas of creative arts and home and community social interaction. I also have over a decade of experience as an at home tutor in English/Language Arts and 3 months experience as a teacher's assistant at the Community Child Development Center of Little Angels. In all this time, I have enjoyed teaching children how important their education is to their future. I really feel that children in today's world and economy need a very special kind of teacher and mentor in order to survive the unique challenges of today's world.
As each student is unique, the teaching I employ to accomplish their learning goals and curriculum requirements must be unique. I feel that I have a special understanding of the fact and I bring that to work with me everyday. I would definitely rank myself a 10 when it comes to teaching or tutoring. As a teacher I understand the needs of today's student body. It's an ongoing growth process for both the student and the teacher and I look forward to it.
