My name is Elizabeth M., a PhD student in Cell and Molecular Biology, with a passion for science and research. I have mentored and tutored middle school, high school, and college students for over 4 years. In college, my roommate and I began a mentoring and tutoring program for high school students, tutoring in various subjects and helping students navigate the college admissions process. After graduating from college, I worked at a middle school’s after school program, tutoring in mathematics and science, and leading academic enrichment activities. In graduate school, I worked as a Teaching Assistant, teaching the basics of microscopy, genetics, physiology, and ecology, to first-year biology majors and non-biology majors. I also earned a fellowship from the National Science Foundation to continue teaching, maintain a 3.5+ G.P.A., and complete my master’s thesis research.
I am also fluent in Spanish speaking, reading, and writing. You can contact me with any questions you may have! I look forward to working with you!
