Hi! I am Peter. I am a soon to be graduate with my Bachelor's from UCLA with an expected summa cum laude distinction. I majored in Biophysics where I maintained a 3.95 GPA. As a student in this major, I learned that STEM can be quite daunting and the subjects can be esoteric beyond comprehension however it was through my instructors that I learned how to go past this. Professors that really taught me my fundamentals were engaging, comprehensive, and not only taught the core formulas but also demonstrated the physical intuition behind it. This made subjects such as quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, and chemistry easier to digest and intuitive. I try to use this experience in my own teaching approach in which I start from the fundamentals to allow the student to intuit through a given mathematical or scientific problem, run through representative practice problems, and give other practice problems for take-home practice. Of course, this method will be adjusted based on the subject and the student's individual needs.

I have experience tutoring beginning in high school in which I tutored calculus students (Calc AB and BC). I like to do 1-on-1 sessions in order to make sure that students get my full attention.

I want to benefit the students I work with so, if wanted, I will provide as many resources I have used to succeed not only in high school but also in college.

I have tutored calculus in high school (particularly for the AP exams: Calc AB and BC). I also have ample practice in college. I am at home with multivariable calculus as it is fundamental in my major.

In high school, I scored 800 in the Physics SAT and continued that trend throughout college, scoring at the top of my STEM classes including physics, chemistry, and biology. I take a holistic approach to these fields so when studying under me, understanding one subject will elucidate a problem from another!
