Algebra 1 and Elementary Math tutor

About Christinna

I am Christinna and I have been tutoring since the fall of 2004. I have experience tutoring all subjects K-8 and am certified to teach these subjects as a credentialed teacher. I also have experience teaching phonics, reading skills, algebra, geometry, & Spanish both as an educator and a teacher's assistant.

I hold two A. A.'s from Moorpark college. One A. A. is liberal studies and the other is for intermediate level Spanish. I have a B. A. with a major in Liberal Studies and a minor in Spanish from CSUN. I earned my multiple subject teaching credential from CSUN and added my bilingual authorization in Spanish (BCLAD) the semester after I earned my credential.

I have been teaching for three years. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grade. I am currently teaching 2nd grade at Limerick Elementary and am a part of our school's technology committee. Prior to teaching I worked as a bilingual teacher's assistant for Sunny Brae Elementary for 4 years and as a bilingual teacher's assistant for the Simi Valley/Moorpark First 5 mobile preschool for 3 years.

As a tutor/teacher I enjoy working with and building a rapport with my students and work endlessly to help improve their confidence level as well as their grades.
