Tutoring Hebrew and/or Judaic Studies is one of my preferred modes of instruction, not only in format but also in content. I enjoy the setting which allows for supervised and careful instruction as well as close monitoring of progress. It is also conducive to ensuring that basic skills are learned and mastered before progressing to more complex concepts in the language.
In addition to a teaching career and certification as a Reading Specialist, I have also worked as a tutor for individuals and small groups who expressed an interest in learning Hebrew or advancing their current skills. I have worked with students of varying ages and a range of learning abilities and styles. My specialty has always been to focus in on the particular learning style of a student and adapt the lesson to ensure success. I have found this to be the most effective means of teaching and students have always appreciated the extra concern and attention given to their individual needs and styles.
