I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Cal State Long Beach and I have 1 year of professional experience in child care and 6+ years of personal experience in child care and as a care taker. I believe that tutoring can broaden an individuals knowledge on any subject and can open their minds to new ways of learning. My goal is to help individuals succeed in their academic endeavors.

I taught in Oakland Unified for 9 years. I worked as an elementary school teacher. The past 5 years I have worked as as a teacher for the OUSD Reading Clinic, 2 of those teachers being the teacher in charge of the clinic. I enjoy teaching students how to read, my personal favorite school subject is math. I stopped working to tend to my 3 children, they are 4, 2 and 6 months.

I am currently a student at George Mason University studying International Relations, I have a deep understanding of and experience in English Language arts and History, with experience tutoring siblings and friends. I know what it's like to be a student struggling with subjects and can relate to your student and help them build on their skills.

I am getting my degree in mathematics and secondary level teaching certification. Education is a passion of mine, which is why I want to become a teacher. I’ve worked with all age levels in mathematics (k-12 and some college level students). Also during covid I home schooled the 2nd and 4th grade girls I was nannying.
