I graduated from NC State with a bachelors degree in Nutrition Science and I am currently pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy. When I was a kid I saw an episode of Sailor Moon that featured a young woman who was making a living as an artist... and that was the first time I ever saw a character who was an artist and they weren't written as some kind pun! She just w a s an artist! I remember after that I day I started to actually practice making art.

I have a DNP with emphasis in leadership. My MSN-NP certification is in Adult-Geriatric Primary Care. I have 20 years of nursing experience in the areas of med-surg, hospice, pain management and family practice. I love to teach. I spend each day teaching my patients, my colleagues and students nurses of all levels.

I have tutored students from PreK-6th grade for over 10 years in reading comprehension, spelling, writing, phonics and organizational skills.
