Hello kiddos, my name is Barbara and I like to be called Ms. Bee. Teaching as a tutor is what I have a passion for. I enjoy hiking, reading, solving problems, giving you a great experience in how learning different subjects is all about. I am open minded, generous and loving. My favorite food is Indian and Italian, and ice cream is the desert that hits the “it’s the best day of my life”.
I have taught secondary and post secondary literature and writing since 1997. I am currently a tenured professor at SPC since 2009. I teach all levels of college writing and evaluate college essays. I teach Composition 1, Composition 2, World Literature 1 and 2, Developmental Writing, Technical Writing (resume writing) and Interdisciplinary Studies.
I have a master's degree from Wayne State University in Pharmaceutical Science, and I have taught Chemistry at the High School and College level for the past 12 years. I have tutored students in Chemistry for the past 3 years and I love to share my knowledge to students to help them succeed in their Chemistry classes.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science with a focus on Community Health Education. I have worked with children of all ages in various settings with creative and reading activities.
